Tiffany Baxter

Tiffany, who plays the role of Ottilie in House of Flowers, studied theatre arts at the University of Southern California where she received her B.A. in 2003.  She has appeared in numerous theatrical productions and several commercials.  She is a student of the Imagined Life, taught by Diana Castle, here in the Los Angeles area.  She is working steadily toward a career in film and television, and is currently seeking theatrical representation.

 

 

 

Laura Boccaletti

Laura, who plays Muriel’s mother in A Perfect Day for Bananafish, is a New York native who came to Los Angeles four years ago to prove that it’s never too late to pursue the career she was studying for at Boston University back in - well - never mind when. Her first starring role in LA was in Culver City Public Theatre’s production of The Madwoman of Chaillot. Typecasting, no doubt. She recently appeared as Mrs. Marchmont in Oscar Wilde’s An Ideal Husband at CCPT; Towne Street Theatre Co.'s 10-Minute Play Festival at Stella Adler Theatre; Michaela Feeley’s A Good Girl’s Guide to Making Love with Women’s Ensemble Theatre. She is very happy to be part of this company and attach her size nine-and-a-halfs to A Perfect Day for Bananafish . . .her word of honor.

 

Ursaline Bryant
Ursaline plays Old Bonaparte in House of Flowers.  A native of Washington, D.C., Ursaline began her career in the modeling industry in New York, where she ultimately signed with the prestigious Wilhelmina Agency.  She has also worked with Nina Blanchard, and Cunningham and Associates in Los Angeles.  Feeling the need to fulfill a greater goal, Ursaline joined the Negro Ensemble Company in New York.  She later moved to Los Angeles to establish her career as an actor, which led to appearances on Star Trek: The Next Generation, The Red Foxx Show, and the NBC-TV Emmy award winning series Golden Girls.  She also co-starred in the feature film Hot Pursuit.  Ursaline was recently nominated as Best Lead Actress – Local for the play A Medley of One Act Plays: Madam C. J Walker by the 18th Annual NAACP Theatre Awards.  Her most recent acting engagement is that of Queen Calafia: Ruler of California, a one-woman play presented in three acts.  When she is not studying and honing her craft with CAREZMA Entertainment Management, Inc., Ursaline enjoys traveling.  She is a member of the Screen Actors Guild, AFTRA and Actors Equity Association.

 

Emily Derenzis

Emily, who plays Muriel Glass in A Perfect Day or Bananfish, is thrilled to be back for Season Two of Books with Feet as an actor and co-producer.  After studying and performing in New York City for three years, she moved to LA to continue the journey.  Since arriving in Los Angeles, Emily has been seen in shows from Hollywood to Palos Verdes.  A writer as well, two voices she can't get out of her head are Gelato Girl and Drunk Office Girl-an ode to the many odd jobs she has experienced.

Lesli Harad

Lesli plays Rosita in House of Flowers.  Lesli Harad is thrilled to be a part of Books with Feet!  Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, Lesli attended Washington University in St. Louis and received a dual degree in Theater and African History.  After graduation, Lesli moved to Los Angeles to pursue her dream of acting.  Since moving West, Lesli has appeared in many short films and plays.  In her spare time she is an active alumni in her sorority, a member of Junior League, and enjoys dance, tennis, kids, and cats!

 

Sharon Jordan

Sharon plays Mildred Snell in Down at the Dinghy. She is thrilled to be part of the Books With Feet debut. She has appeared in such roles and theater productions as Ann Stanley in Forty Carats and Cecily in The Odd Couple. Her favorite television roles include Irene the Concierge, on The Suite Life of Zack & Cody and Irene the Concierge, on That's So Suite Life of Hannah Montana. Sharon trains at The Second City and is personally coached by Mr. Ruben Moreno (of "Little Big Man" and more). In addition, Sharon is a published novelist. Sarah Kelly

Sarah is delighted to do double duty as Mrs. Hubbel and The Woman in the Elevator in A Perfect Day for Bananafish.  A native of Anchorage, Alaska and rainy Olympia, WA, Sarah sought sunnier skies and moved to Los Angeles to attend the University of Southern California.  Despite getting in a fair amount of trouble, she still managed to graduate Magna Cum Laude from USC with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications and a Minor in Theatre.  In addition to her work as an actress, Sarah is also an animal lover, an avid sports fan, a caffeine addict and an award-winning playwright.

Jenna Mate

Jenna Mate is cast as the lovable, four-year-old, Lionel Tannenbaum in Down at the Dinghy and feels honored to be a part of Books with Feet. She hails from the east coast where she earned a BFA in acting from Syracuse University. Shortly after, she moved to Los Angeles to break into the music business. She never imagined that her path would lead her to playing a small boy in such a unique production. Now, a Los Angeles singer/songwriter, Jenna has been featured at venues such as Hollywood and Highland , Genghis Cohen, and Harvelle's Blues Club. Scott Mikels

Scott is excited to be making his debut with Books with Feet and honored to have the opportunity to bring Seymour Glass in A Perfect Day for Bananafish to life.  Scott was last seen as Richard the Lionheart in The Lion in Winter at the Westchester Playhouse.  He can next be seen as Peter in Edward Albee’s Zoo Story.  Since moving to L.A. Scott has been training at the Theatre Group Studio with Lorinne Vozoff.  Scott would like to thank Genevieve for this opportunity to work with Books with Feet and his wife, Crystal, for her support and friendship.

 

Greg Nystrom

Greg, who plays Mr. Jamison in House of Flowers, grew up with parents participating in musical theater and choir while rounding out the life of an ordinance delivering Navy pilot. Greg's early years as an adult actor were immersed in improvisation in front of live audiences. His path as an actor has been highlighted with leading roles in theater, film, television, industrials and commercials. With this production, Mr. Nystrom attempts to reinvent himself as a principally, mature actor.

 

 

Angelica Pulido

Having been away from her theater roots for almost 2 years, Angelica is proud to join the cast of House of Flowers. Her last stage role was in the world premiere of The Fence. She played the leading role of "Gin", a Mexican mother caught on the U.S. side of the boarder on her way home to feed her family and six month-old child. This role garnered much critical praise. She has worked on several television shows and graduate films but her heart has always belonged to the theater.

 

Tara Redfield

Tara, who plays Sybil in A Perfect Day for Bananafish, has been living in Los Angeles for the past two years pursuing her goals of acting and writing.  She graduated with a bachelor of arts degree from Chapman University in 2006 where she was also nominated for the Irene Ryan Scholarship for her performance as Consuelo in the production of He Who Gets Slapped.  Since moving to Los Angeles she has had many great opportunities in the entertainment industry such as working in casting for TLC and MTV, and appearing in several short films.  With acting being her first passion, she continues to study her craft at the Beverly Hills Playhouse.  She is still at the beginning of her journey and is happy to have Books With Feet be a part of her path.

 

 

Lamar Stewart
Lamar is playing the part of Royal Bonaparte in House of Flowers and is elated to be part of this Books with Feet production.  Lamar is a southern gentleman from Atlanta, GA.  He graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial and Systems Engineering.  Even though he obtained his engineering degree (which his mother STRONGLY suggested that he do), acting is where his passion lies. He made his move to the City of Angels in 2007, which he says has been quite an exciting thrill. Lamar has been in a number of independent films and made his debut in the film Three Can Play That Game with Vivica Fox.  He also won Old Spice’s America’s Cleanest Comic Competition.

 

Emanuel Ward

Emanuel plays Houngan and Juno in House of Flowers.  Emanuel gained initial exposure to the film industry through the studio productions of With Honors and Crossing the Bridge.  His most recent work has been within the Boston independent film scene.  Most notable projects include The Shadow in the Sun, Recipe, By Poison, Chloe, The Office for Privacy and the series pilot for The World Comes up Roses.  In addition to his film work, Emanuel consistently hones his craft through class work with Peter Kelley of New York and Jock McDonald of Carter/Thor Studios - Boston.  On the local and national levels he's appeared in the History Channel's Slave Catchers/Slave Resisters and in various commercials for Miller High Life, Target Stores, and the Massachusetts "Click-it or Ticket" campaign.  Additionally, he has performed in national industrials for Cisco Systems, The Gillette Company and Northwest Airlines.  His early stage work includes roles in well-known productions like Oliver Twist and South Pacific, and most recently he received Boston’s Playwrights Platform 2006 Best Actor award for his performance as Peter in Holly Jensen’s One, Two, Many.  Emanuel recently relocated to Los Angeles, CA in pursuit of his acting career.

David Weisiger

David appears before you with great pleasure. Originally from central Illinois, he moved to Los Angeles three years ago, after meeting a great man whom told him to follow his dreams. What you are witnessing is a first. You are seeing an actual dream in action.

Rebecca Whynaucht

Rebecca plays the Telephone Operator and Mrs. Carpenter in A Perfect Day for Bananafish, and is also the Producer of Books with Feet.  Rebecca recently graduated from The Second City Los Angeles.  Currently, she performs long-form improv at Second City with her troupe Slack Babbath and with the grad group Welsh Poet’s Society.  She has studied with Ivana Chubbuck and has performed stand-up on the main stage at The Comedy Store.  In her free time she works full time as a legal secretary, and writes, produces and performs sketch comedy on stage and in short films.
